Reference> http://www.csc.edu.cn/Laihua/scholarshipdetailen.aspx?cid=97&id=3154 1. Application documents of recommended candidates from the EU office will be considered by CSC for eligibility and qualification. Ineligible or incomplete applications will not be considered; 2. Qualified applications will be sent to universities for placement. Based on various factors, such as the different scholarship funding requirements of every country, the host university's teaching capacity, study length and applicants’ criteria, CSC reserves the right to make necessary adjustments/changes to the candidate’s host university, field of study, supporting categories and duration of scholarship. Applications enclosed with the Pre-admission Letter will be sent to the universities who issued that Letter for placement confirmation; 3 After placement confirmation by Chinese universities, scholarship recipients will get Chinese government scholarships to study in China with approval by CSC. Each scholarship recipient will be granted with no more than one scholarship. 4. CSC reviews the placement results, approves the List of Scholarship Recipients and sends the admission documents to the Office for Education and Culture, Mission of P.R.China to the European Union before July 31st. The Office for Education and Culture, Mission of P.R.China to the European Union will send the admission documents （List of Scholarship Recipients, Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for Study in China （JW201）） to the scholarship recipients. 5. Scholarship recipients shall not change their host university, field of study, or duration of study unless they give up the grant. 6. In the past, CSC approved and placed students by the time their applications (whether from embassies or universities) arrived at CSC. Basically, first come, first served. For universities that meant, the university that submitted your application to CSC first, usually received you as their student. (speaking of experience) I expected this to be the same this year, but after being in touch with the universities I applied for, both say that the decision will be made by the end of June, and subsequently the results will be announced (so that can last until mid-July). That is telling us that CSC is or has been waiting until all (or most) universities have submitted their candidates in order for CSC to more evenly distribute students among the universities. (No more first come, first served.) I would say that this month CSC is working through the mountain of applications, so that from these days forward the announcements will come out bit by bit. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I wrote to them last week, they say give attention to their online portal and check their site for the list of winners in mid-July. Second case scenario If you applied via embassy bilateral program then it's possible CSC chose a suitable uni for you. Lol @DSK i had a pre-admission letter from them in March and had the nomination mail in April. Now I'm told CSC is still processing but my status is still submitted.
