@AmbraYes, i also applied through the embassy type A. And have status In Progress like you. I really hope it is a good sign for us to get the scholarship. 

 

@Jabri Do you think CSC does an assessment or sort before sending it to university? Or they just send it without checking? If the university has accepted our documents and gave an admission letter does that mean we get the scholarship?

Does anybody know what happens if you get awarded both the CIS and the CGS? I have heard that the CGS automatically cancels the CIS, but also that you can choose between them. I have been awarded the CIS for Shanghai U but I am still waiting on my CGS results, and for the CGS I put ECNU as first place and Shanghai U as second place.

@VL02 From what I know CSC will check again the documents that they received from the consulate before sending it to the university. It's a good step forward if the university has accepted your documents. I've read somewhere in this forum before, a guy made a call to CSC to ask regarding the criteria that is looked by CSC and the person on the phone said it's up to the consulate. So if you pass the screening process in your country, you most probably will get the scholarship.

Hi, I called CSC office and I got to know that the final results will be out by the end of July and the guy on the phone confirmed that students with status " in progress" will defininitly be awarded with the scholarships. BTW this news is about " B type " scholarship and all the universities will be informed regarding the scholarship final results almost at the same time.  This year the results will be announced later than the previous years.So, guys relax ,stay positive and be patient.good luck )

I received notice today from Xiamen University that I have been accepted for the masters program, but this is only for admission, that scholarship results will be available in late July.

@Shawnkane oh no, I was so happy when I read your message and you mentioned the info about the "in progress" thing until I saw that it only applies to type b scholarships

@Shawnkane You wrote previously that you had talked to someone at scs office and they said that those "in progress" will definitely get the scholarship,  but than you said that it's for B type.. Do you know anything about type "A" ... because I have  type "A" in my application.. Where can I ask for info?

@Shawnkane thanks for the information you shared with us. I also applied for B type and now it shows in progress.. at least it is still considered a positive sign so i will be patiently wait till end of july.

Because a friend of mine applied to 3 schools and didnt send the document to all the school. The one he sent the document to is still submitted when the school he didnt send document to is in progress. Confused

Got a mail from ISO, Fudan today. They sent my documents to CSC and my status has changed to "in progress". It seems the wait will be longer.

@rishid8 I received the same mail! I think that till the end of week we can have at least the official list of scholarship candidates

@all.Firstly, I called the CSC office several times on 3rd of July, and every time I called they gave me the different contact number to contact , finally I contacted the right person in the late after noon) BTW that day I spent all day calling the CSC office)))  anyways, the first questioned I asked about was the final date for " b type " scholarship announcement . And he answered " late July" , I incisted for the exact date( I knew he was getting irritated but my mental relaxness was more important than his irritation so, I continued) he answered " between 15 of July till end of the month". Second question, " will students with status " in progress " get scholarship for sure" he replied " yes". I asked " for sure?" He answered " yes , as their assessment has been accomplished by their target universities". Third question, " is there a chance that someone with " in progress" status be denied of scholarship?" He replied" I don't think so" I asked" are you sure?" He said " yes". 

Secondly,All that conversation was in chinese ( yeah I can speak chinese@ who asked this question") I guess that was the reason this conversation got that longer cuz normally to don't spent that long talking on phone.

Thirdly, when I was talking , my intentions were about " B type" scholarship, but what I think he was answering generally about all the types including " A, B and C".

Moreover, the guys who have already got rejected their stauses have got changed way back to " self paid".so, if someone has some concerns of being rejected kindly flushed them off and be possitive and be patient))

Furthurmore, those who have applied through embassies , firstly they get assessed by CSC, then CSC sends there documents to their target universities where they again undergo the process of assessment rigorously and if university/ies approve them , their documents are sent back to CSC for the final approval , here there get the status of " in progress" ( means they have already gone through the process of assessment. If someone gets approved by more than one university then CSC chooses the university of that individual ( mostly the university with the lower ranking to fulfill the quota as , there is always a tough completion in high ranking universities).

I hope this information is helpful enough for at least few of you and put a smile on your faces and decreased the level of built up nervousness/ tension by waiting for such longer, and calmed you guys down a bit. Remember in prayer)
