Hey guys! On my admission notice it is said that I need to register at university between 30.08.2017 and 01.09.2017. I was wondering how many days earlier I need to arrive there? I'll probably have to make the Physical Examination and I guess it's going to take some time.

Are there people here from tsinghua waiting for type 2 scholarship and not having any idea of accommodation? I contacted the university and they told they have a room reserved as they have nominated me for cgs. But the fact that no result has been given for the scholarship is scaring me. I don't know if I have a place to stay and now when I contact the department I'm admitted to no one is responding to either mail or phone calls. Is there anyone in a similar situation?

Hey y'all, hope you're doing well. First, I wanna thank the people who created and who are responsible for this forum very much. It's such a great platform for all of us to find news and express our concerns. I also wanna say congratulations to everyone who already received the scholarship and best of luck to those who are still waiting for their results to come out (like me) :D.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I noticed that CSC are announcing results by a city-like pattern. Two days ago, Shanghai universities announced their results, and yesterday Nanjing universities did the same. It makes sense that no university in Beijing for example have announced their CSC results yet like Tsingua and Peking University. It's just an observation I made, not sure though lol.

BTW, has anyone here applied for Communication University of China? or know someone who did?.

Hey,

Have any other American students here been affected by the apparent loss of our admission packages in the mail? If you've been in contact with Chen Li from the DC embassy, you should have gotten notice of this a few days ago. It is an absolute gaffe.

I'm not quite sure what this means, as I presume most of us need to be in the country by early September, but we now won't be receiving the packages for another 2 weeks or so, leaving us with only about two, at most three weeks to apply for and receive the correct student visas in time... I don't think that that is enough time for us to get our visas to get into the country on time.

I still have an S2 visa that my uni used for a group of us to visit the country with a few years back, and it's not expiring any time soon. But I have no idea whether it's possible to use this to simply get into the country, be registered in time at Shanghai Intl Studies U, and then receive the correct student visa that I'll need to keep me in the country. I am assuming this is not possible, but I'm posting on hear to see if any other opinions may be present.

There were about 60 others copied on the email that admitted the error to me, so I'm thinking some other Americans are in a bind as well... whatever country you're from, if you have any experience at all with this kind of problem, I would very gladly and appreciatively have your advice. I'm supposed to be flying out in a month...

Where can I see the results of csc for Beijing University of business and technology or just for myself?

I applied Wuhan university for independent chinese government scholarchips but I still haven's got anything. Now I'm getting a little anxious as closing by the September. Is there anyone who applied for independent enrollment for csc at wuhan university?

@chadthehig me and another forum member already posted about this, a few pages before (either 79 or 80). It's seriously nbd. As I said in a prior post, getting a Chinese visa (if you're located within a reasonable distance of the many consulates or The embassy in the USA), is a really quick process. Three days at a maximum. Also, post within china is crazy fast. Ms. Chen told us two-three weeks, which gives us a reasonable amount of time to get the visa before our departures.

I hope we could get a good news today

@Yunita I'm not so sure about MCU because it just valid for 6 month, if your MCU still valid until September I think it would be fine, bcause we'll do MCU again after we arrive in China again anyway. But please refer to this link for further information http://www.mfa.gov.cn/ce/ceindo/indo/xnyfgk/t341115.htm. for your reference I do my MCU at march and my friend told me that i won't need to do MCU again..

oh wait,, i just see my MCU date and it was in February,, definitely have to do MCU again TT
