Can I get deported if I get HIV only after I've lived in China and from a Chinese citizen?

just saw this thread and the situation is really scary. To get HIV in a foreign non-english speaking country is probably worse than in your own for some people. for others it is best not for everyone back home to know so you could contain the spread of information.

To top it off China like Cuba is a communist country and these countries have different reactions to confirmation.

My wife is a specialist medical doctor registered in Cuba ( by scholarships to Cuba) and there, the policy is that if a foreigner is diagnosed with it, they are immediately sent out the country, especially students.  If they are local, they are confined and shipped to a facility for HIV persons only. I believe it is an island.  mandatory reporting rules but there are some places where number can be assigned for privacy .  You must know where to go and who to trust.  Up to 2013 this policy was in place.

I don't know the policy for China but the act of having the foreigner leave China which may or may not include students, reminds me a little of Cuba.

Very happy to learn that the initial test was negative and can only hope that the test remains negative and that the person takes the necessary precautions as recommended by the people in this forum.

This is also a good reminder for all of us whether we are going to China/Taiwan or not to always protect ourselves. It is also a reminder for us to be faithful to our partner.  The good side is that the test is negative the bad side is that if the person has a relationship back home and it becomes to his/her knowledge the relationship may suffer.

I hope that the person remains negative.
