New Members hempknifer Posted February 24, 2017 at 04:17 AM New Members Report Posted February 24, 2017 at 04:17 AM I have tried everything I can think of to translate this pinout into English. I've used every translating tool I can find. I was hoping someone on here could translate it. I've checked all the electronics forums and haven't found a translated version yet. Thank you! I know the very top right hand is USB, lol. Quote
somethingfunny Posted February 24, 2017 at 09:50 AM Report Posted February 24, 2017 at 09:50 AM What progress have you made? You say you've exhausted yourself - have you transcribed all the characters? Can you provide a text list of all the different items? Quote
New Members hempknifer Posted February 24, 2017 at 10:37 AM Author New Members Report Posted February 24, 2017 at 10:37 AM First, I went thru several OCRs but I couldn't get a single one to line the characters up properly. So I tried manually arranging them and then I ran them thru a couple of translators and couldn't make heads or tails of translation. Lastly, I tried searching for each characters and most of them returned nothing. Quote
Mati1 Posted February 24, 2017 at 03:59 PM Report Posted February 24, 2017 at 03:59 PM The resolution isn't all that great, but it should be doable for someone who knows many characters. Regarding OCR, if it has trouble with the characters at the USB port than there's no need to try all the others The text on the lower side is perpendicular btw. The first one says 接USB小板, which means something like receive USB little board, maybe USB (input) connector. Why does it say 小板? Is it mini USB or micro USB as opposed to a type-A receptacle? Quote
889 Posted February 24, 2017 at 04:54 PM Report Posted February 24, 2017 at 04:54 PM If this is a DIY project, then you're doing it backwards by trying to look up the characters first. Presumably you're technically proficient enough to know what connections a board like that has, you just need to match up those connections with the Chinese. So look up "earphone" and you'll find it's 耳机 in Chinese. That's a match. And so on. Now if this isn't DIY and you need help, then redo the photo assigning numbers to each line so they can be easily referred to. 3 Quote
Shelley Posted February 24, 2017 at 06:33 PM Report Posted February 24, 2017 at 06:33 PM I had a quick look and yes the photo is too blurry to read easily. EBC usually means emitter, base, and collector in transistors. If you can get a clearer picture it shouldn't be that difficult. I think that the ones labelled CDEFG are - Contact- correct response ? number 1 through 5. The ones labelled J - down 1 "Curve"? I up 1 "Curve"? maybe it means up one step. But this could be wrong. A better picture is definitely needed. Quote
Publius Posted February 24, 2017 at 07:02 PM Report Posted February 24, 2017 at 07:02 PM Okay I know many characters. From top right to bottom left: 3 Quote
Shelley Posted February 24, 2017 at 07:08 PM Report Posted February 24, 2017 at 07:08 PM Oh excellent Publius, well done. For the OP if you chinese is not up to it use Zhongwen addon in chrome or Perapera in Firefox to roll over for translation Quote

歐博思 Posted February 25, 2017 at 05:16 AM Report Posted February 25, 2017 at 05:16 AM Assuming you're a tech master who could figure things out via elimination, do you think you could share the technical terms with us, now that the other master has clarified the characters? I like learning this stuff so just curious Quote

USB小板 in this context is a small daughter board that has, you guessed it, a USB connector on it. You can see the big board already has a USB connector on it but this allows for the cases that you want a different kind (mini, micro) of USB connector or if you want to extend the USB connector to a different position in the final product. Mati1 Posted February 27, 2017 at 02:02 PM Report Posted February 27, 2017 at 02:02 PM Of course! Like all the USB "headers" computer mainboards usually have. Quote
