New Members Buddy_27 Posted March 3, 2017 at 08:43 PM New Members Report Posted March 3, 2017 at 08:43 PM Hi I've recently secured a teaching position in Zhenjiang (Jiangsu Province). I've gathered and sent all of the documents to my potential employer. They now have to apply for some documents which they are going to send to me. Then I am to apply at my local embassy in London for the Z Visa with these documents. Could someone please explain what these documents are and how long it could potentially take for my employer to get these documents? Kind Regards, Matt Quote
roddy Posted March 4, 2017 at 08:42 AM Report Posted March 4, 2017 at 08:42 AM It's approval from the local authorities to employ you, in the form of an invitation letter to give to the embassy. It's fairly routine - I'd guess a week? There will be a lot of variance though. Do you know if they've employed foreigners before? If not the process is more complex - they need to get approval to employ foreigners in general, and then get the approval to employ you specifically. 1 Quote
