Salty Dog Posted April 10, 2017 at 06:31 AM Report Posted April 10, 2017 at 06:31 AM (edited) I have been getting the following fatal error on Chrome [ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH]. Firefox flags the problem but allows users to proceed. Is the site admin aware of / dealing with the issue? Cheers This site can’t provide a secure connection www.chinese-forums.com uses an unsupported protocol. ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite. This is likely to be caused when the server needs RC4, which is no longer considered secure. Edited April 10, 2017 at 06:34 AM by Salty Dog Tidy Quote
roddy Posted April 10, 2017 at 09:59 AM Report Posted April 10, 2017 at 09:59 AM I'm not seeing any problems at my end - is there any chance you're on an old browser version? There are some trouble-shooting ideas here. Quote

Salty Dog Posted April 12, 2017 at 02:20 AM Author Report Posted April 12, 2017 at 02:20 AM Thanks for the feedback. If no others are experiencing this, then I agree, it appears to be a combination of factors on my side, unsupported browser on old OS (XP/Chrome) and location (Saudi). I will use Firefox.
