Microsoft Research Asia is going to launch a completely NEW Chinese learning app soon this year! They are eager to know the needs of native English speakers who are learning Chinese to improve the design of their Chinese learning app. You are welcomed to help us! Here is a link to this short survey. Thank you for your notice! https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=v4j5cvGGr0GRqy180BHbR1cyyOOYMkpEnRlFnJr59b9UNk9ITlNXM0JSUEdKMTVWUlgyVEVCUE1ERy4u Admin Edit: This is actually a valid survey from Microsoft not a spammer trying to get you to click a random link Quote
imron Posted May 19, 2017 at 05:40 AM Report Posted May 19, 2017 at 05:40 AM Hey Microsoft Research, while you're here and asking about Chinese learning apps, check out this thread. I imagine you guys would have the resources and technical skill to develop such an app. Quote
AdamD Posted May 19, 2017 at 06:36 AM Report Posted May 19, 2017 at 06:36 AM Interesting survey! You might get a mix of responses for some of the questions. I've always found writing Chinese characters to be easier than grammar, but a lot of people disagree. Also, the form isn't clear on whether it submitted successfully, but all the fields are now inactive for me. Is that expected behaviour? Quote
thechamp Posted May 19, 2017 at 02:34 PM Report Posted May 19, 2017 at 02:34 PM Wow. Plans for a Chinese learning app now officially shelved. Quote
imron Posted May 19, 2017 at 03:13 PM Report Posted May 19, 2017 at 03:13 PM Don't see why they have to be. The app they are making might be completely unrelated to what you were planning to make, and they might not be interested in making such an app but might be interested in sharing data and resources with someone who was. Shelley Posted May 19, 2017 at 04:47 PM Report Posted May 19, 2017 at 04:47 PM @thechamp don't give up, you might be aiming at completely different users. See your original post for some new ideas just added. Quote
laogui Posted May 20, 2017 at 12:26 AM Report Posted May 20, 2017 at 12:26 AM It may be genuine, but it fails to open giving a 'Something went wrong' message plus 'Use your work or school account to sign in to Microsoft Forms. We’re working on adding support for all Microsoft accounts.' Quote
JeroenB Posted May 20, 2017 at 07:53 AM Report Posted May 20, 2017 at 07:53 AM I get the same error message as laogui. Quote
