New Members mfjones Posted May 25, 2017 at 10:42 AM New Members Report Posted May 25, 2017 at 10:42 AM I would like to get Colloquial Chinese by Qian Kan, but I'm a bit confused by the range of editions available. I notice that the blue-covered earlier edition is very inexpensive used, whereas the newer yellow one is more expensive, though judging by the 'Look Inside' feature on Amazon, they look fairly comparable, at least at the beginning. Can anyone comment on the differences between the two? Also, I think I'd like to get the listening resources, but the CDs seem to be sold separately, so if someone could advise the best way to get these, that would be great. Does the old edition also have listening tracks? Thank you. Quote
werewitt Posted June 3, 2017 at 11:48 AM Report Posted June 3, 2017 at 11:48 AM I don't think editions of any of the "Colloquial Chinese" books (1st vs 2nd) differ substantially. MP3s are here, select one for your book (there are 3 in that series). Note that "Colloquial Chinese 2" is not simply the second edition but a separate book in the set/series. Quote
