The national immunisation program in your home country will affect what immunisation you may need. Typically immunisations against tetanus, typhoid and Hep are given for China. But you may also need others depending on your home countries requirements. The current flu vaccination is also worthwhile to reduce chances of getting it while travelling. This will not protect you from the China Syndrome (common cold which affects most travellers to China). Also the travel doctor will recommend what medications to travel with such as diarrhoea meds, antibiotics, malarials etc. Quote
