Do I need release letter to work new company?

I used to work for company A but didn't pass probation (not for inadequacy but it's a long story). Anyway, they cancelled my visa and work/residency permit. So I decided to come home and start again. I'm currently agreed to work for company B and my visa application is being processed by them now. My question however is whether I would still need to provide a release letter from company A or will i receive a brand new visa and permit since i left the country?
