djmill Posted August 4, 2005 at 05:56 PM Report Posted August 4, 2005 at 05:56 PM Hi -- I don't speak Chinese at all and I was hoping to get some help in translating a photo I took. I took this picture of a Banyan tree in Honolulu and I have been told that it is Mandarin. Could somebody let me know what it means? The photo is here: http://photos21.flickr.com/28074598_0ff85e8c57.jpg Please e-mail me here or at placebo77@hotmail.com. Thanks for your time. DAN Quote
889 Posted August 5, 2005 at 03:40 AM Report Posted August 5, 2005 at 03:40 AM Those are kanji: Chinese characters used to write Japanese. They read 松岡諒太 and form the name MATSUOKA Ryota (or Ryouta). Quote
