My Ruby My Blood

Could any native or advanced speaker tell me whether the soap opera "My Ruby My Blood" is in fairly standard Mandarin?

Yeah, all main characters speak standard Mandarin (based on a quick skim). It looks like a reasonably easy show to follow too.

 

There will probably be one or two characters with a regional accent (like the aunt who calls in the first few minutes) to add a bit of flavour, but you can rely on subtitles to help you with those sections. Most shows will have a bit of this.

Same one, actually. I stopped my "experiment" around October 2015 and have watched very little Mandarin since then. But I started again last month and I think I'll see it through to the end now. 471 hours watched so far, 529 hours to go :-) It will take a few years to complete.
