i__forget Posted August 6, 2017 at 02:06 PM Report Posted August 6, 2017 at 02:06 PM 每家只能养一只狗,要给狗狗办登记,而且不能把狗带到医院、学校、海边等地方。 Can someone explain to me why 狗 is used twice in the sentence above? What does "dog dog" mean? Thanks a lot and sorry if the question is stupid. Quote
Minotaur Posted August 6, 2017 at 02:17 PM Report Posted August 6, 2017 at 02:17 PM Just to be cute. It consciously immitates the way little child speaks. You may hear a parent speak to his/her child like:“再不乖就要打屁屁了!” While AABB and ABB structures are quite common amoung adjectives, they are not the same as what described above. 1 Quote

889 Posted August 6, 2017 at 10:00 PM Report Posted August 6, 2017 at 10:00 PM It's a draw! I couldn't quite follow your comment on my post either, but took a stab nonetheless, and apparently missed. Quote
