Looking for a new smartphone in China

Hi everyone, I wanted to know if you had any good recommendations for an smartphone ranging between 1000RMB to 1800RMB (which is more or less the price of my smartphone back in 2013).

 

I would like to have  updates and regarding the technical part at least 2GB RAM, quad-core, 16GB SD internal and expansion slot. 

 

If you have any Smartphone search engine for China it would be really appreciated n_n

I'm pleased with my Xiaomi 5. (But no expansion slot.)

 

Your budget allotment is on the low side. Not sure it is realistic. I think mine cost between 2,000 and 2,500 a couple years ago.

 

Most international phone search engines include the more popular Chinese brands. You don't really need one specific to China.

I've got a Redmi Note3 and it's fine. I particularly like Xiaomi's update policy. So many other makers don't even bother with security upgrades after purchase.

 

Not happy, though, that the "dual sim" slot only takes one regular and one tiny sim, not two regular sims, and you have to sacrifice your SD card if you use both sim slots.

 

If you plan on using your phone outside China, check frequencies carefully. Same model numbers sold in different countries may work on different frequencies.

I'm also very happy with my Xiaomi 5, and since number 6 is on the market already, you may be able to find it for 2000 yuan. Still, the Redmi phones, part of Xiaomi company but lower end budget, are really good too.
