What does 唬喜爱脸来 mean?   A face like a tiger's roar? A scary face? A face that loves to scare?

Posted

Where did you see this?

I can only imagine it as a typo for 唬下臉來 (hu xia+i lian lai). If that is the case, then it means 拉下臉來、沉下臉來.

Brilliant conjecture, Publius.  The sentence is translated, "He frowned."  So am I correct that 拉下脸来,and 沉下脸来,along with 唬下脸来, all mean "frowning?"

'Frown' is okay I guess.  Without context I cannot say whether it is the most accurate.  It is a stern face.
