Traveller Posted August 6, 2005 at 07:12 PM Report Posted August 6, 2005 at 07:12 PM Hi There, I’m doing some research on wuxia literature. It is fascinating I must say. I have a few questions and hope someone in the know could enlighten me. Thanks a lot. 1. As far as I know the leading wuxia novelists are either died (Gu Long) or quit writing (Louis Cha, Liang Yu-sheng), are there any new wuxia novels in the same league as those classics? any new wuxia novelist can match the popularity of Jin, Gu and Liang? Is there a future for wuxia literature? 2. Is wuxia literature formally studies in any way in the Chinese-speaking world? Quote
skylee Posted August 7, 2005 at 03:19 AM Report Posted August 7, 2005 at 03:19 AM Louis Cha is still writing. He is revising his own works (AGAIN !!!). A very bad pastime of his if you ask me. Total disregard of the feelings of us readers who grew up reading his books. Quote

leprechaun Posted September 21, 2005 at 10:31 AM Report Posted September 21, 2005 at 10:31 AM i guess if anyone wants to write wuxia novels they'd have to match up to jin yong's, gu long's etc... they've already set a standard there in the historical backgrounds they use, the descriptions and different martial arts techniques involved =) Quote
