Martial arts songs, Shaolin specific

Hello! I have been learning Mandarin and 少林功夫 for a while now and have heard that there were songs that people in the old days used to use to remember their forms, especially when a majority of the population was illiterate. My instructor has been to the temple and heard of their existence, but no one seems to know them. Does anyone know of any of the songs, or even what the word would be for them so that I can do more research? Thanks!

maybe search the form's name + 歌诀

歌诀 = gējué  = formulas or directions put into verse

for instance in Yang Jwing Ming's book about Hsing Yi : the song of the eight postures 八字歌诀
