Residence Permit Expires, Get a Tourist Visa In Country.

Hi all quick question.

 

So I'm currently working for a company and I've decided not to renew my contract but go home for a while, get some stuff sorted in my life before coming back maybe next September. My Current residence permit expires on 30th November, but I'd like to hang around for a couple of weeks to say goodbye to my friends, maybe do some snowboarding, basically have a little mini holiday in China while I have no work before I go home for Christmas.

 

Is it possible to get a tourist visa from in country or a similar service? Or will I have to fly out to Japan/Hong Kong/Korea, get a visa, and then come back? I'm currently in Tianjin.
