Does Anyone have experience of a MTCSOL or similar?

Hi there. This is kind of an expansion of my previous thread, so I hope mods don't consider it a repost. If needed you can delete my old one.

Essentially long story short, been teaching English 3 years but have fallen in love with teaching Chinese. Kind of got my heart set on going to university in China and doing a Masters in something that'll push my Chinese to the next level. I think I've come to the conclusion that a Masters in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages is the best way to do this. I'll force me to really engage with my Chinese, and will also build on my existing solid pedagogic foundation (I'm currently doing an online masters in Southampton University in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

So I wondered if anyone on the forum has any experience of the MTCSOL? There are some questiosn I'd like to ask......

- Where did you study? How was the overall experience of The City and the Programme.

- Did you feel it helped push your Chinese to a new level?

- Where do you feel the best place would be to study this is (If not the place you did study)

- Just overall feelings and opinions towards the programme.

Thanks a lot.

I think @Sharon_Too is currently in the first year of the MTCSOL, maybe she can give some information about the classes

Also, when you're on the front page https://www.chinese-forums.com/

You can type your search in the search box at the top right, and it will search the full site.

Edit: which is how I found the above thread and also this one where you can find more people that did an MTCSOL:

including @xuefang who has a blog there: http://sarajaaksola.com/busy-life-of-a-graduate-student/

@RichS, @Sharon_Too and I are classmates and I'm also in the wechat group you recently joined. However, a good place to ask questions is the thread @edelweis linked to in his edit. That way future people interested can look at the Q's and A's.
