New Members junelove Posted November 22, 2017 at 05:35 AM New Members Report Posted November 22, 2017 at 05:35 AM I am US citizen and having a flight tmomorrow night to go to China. After visiting China I am going to Vietnam. I had a temp. Residency in Vietnam but it looks like I lost my visa. What I am gonna try is I am going to apply e-visa in Vietnam now bring the letter or document saying I got approved for the vietnam visa and show it to immigration in China. Do you think it will work to enter China? What should you recommend for this situation. I really have to go to two countries for business purpose but I lost third country visa. thank you. Quote
sultan110 Posted November 22, 2017 at 02:22 PM Report Posted November 22, 2017 at 02:22 PM I dont see why China wont allow you entry on the basis of you not having a Vietnam visa. Just carry the E-Visa document for Vietnam and you should be fine. Quote
AaronUK Posted November 22, 2017 at 04:03 PM Report Posted November 22, 2017 at 04:03 PM Wouldn’t your outbound ticket to Vietnam be enough to prove you are not staying in china for long? Quote
Lu Posted November 23, 2017 at 09:33 AM Report Posted November 23, 2017 at 09:33 AM Depending on how strict the airport personnel is at check-in, I imagine it's possible they won't let you on the plane if you can't get into a third country (Vietnam, in this case). But what really intrigues me is that the OP writes: 'it looks like I lost my visa'. How do you lose your visa? Isn't it glued into your passport? And how can you be unsure whether you actually lost it? 1 Quote

Geiko Posted November 23, 2017 at 04:14 PM Report Posted November 23, 2017 at 04:14 PM Some countries give loose leaf visas, and Vietnam seems to be one of them: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g293921-i8432-k2120960-Loose_leaf_visa-Vietnam.html http://www.vietnam-immigration.net/news/view/comparison-between-vietnam-visa-on-arrival-vietnam-loose-leaf-visa.html 1 Quote
