Pengyou Posted November 26, 2017 at 08:52 AM Report Share Posted November 26, 2017 at 08:52 AM I need to do some video stuff for some courses i am taking but can't quite get a fast enough connection. I know that it should be possible to install a router with load balancing, get two subscriptions with my service and connect the cables to the router. I am not sure if that will work if I also have to use the providers boxes. Any ideas?
Shelley Posted November 26, 2017 at 03:10 PM Report Share Posted November 26, 2017 at 03:10 PM I am no expert but if you only have one telephone line in will it actually make any difference? The speed is set usually by your provider and is fixed. A quick look around the net seems to agree that 2 routers on one line will not increase your bandwidth or your speed. As I say I am no expert so I may be wrong, but before you spend any time or money I would do some research and see if this will actually solve your problem. 889 Posted November 26, 2017 at 09:23 PM Report Share Posted November 26, 2017 at 09:23 PM I think that rather than trying a complicated solution like that, it would be easier to contact your ISP and ask about upgrading to a faster service.
