Pengyou Posted December 29, 2017 at 04:36 AM Report Share Posted December 29, 2017 at 04:36 AM I am shopping for a phone now and found this choice on a website. I did some searching and do not clearly understand these two terms. My bottom line: I want to be able to use this phone to surf the web both in China and in the US at 4g speeds....have the need for speed.... Both seem to offer 4g service.... Confused.... Your actual download speed on foreign sites depends on the ISP's link overseas. But it won't exceed whatever speed 4G gives your phone. Slowest link in the chain controls, of course. (Just to be clear, that "4" refers to the generation of the connection type, not the actual speed. 4G is faster than 3G, thus.)
