emuboy Posted January 9, 2018 at 03:38 AM Report Posted January 9, 2018 at 03:38 AM Hi, Just curious what the workload, breakdown of classes etc. is generally like for the 1 year CSC mandarin courses? I'm pretty sure I'm going to find it super hard as it's taught in Chinese and I'm still pretty bad at it (I take ages to process information) - although I think this will be really good for my learning. Is there any chance I'll be able to head out on the weekends or is it going to be like the last 4 years of engineering . I can't seem to find much info on it on the previous CSC threads as they are mostly discussing the application process. Cheers! Quote
Angelina Posted January 9, 2018 at 07:16 AM Report Posted January 9, 2018 at 07:16 AM Good idea. I needed some kind of support network for homework. I found that attending my lectures and participating in class was something I could do with relative ease. However, at least for graduate students, homework largely consisted of writing papers (and experiments for engineering) and I would panic. Some people around me were more supportive than others. I would say that it is not only about their willingness, also about their actual ability to support me. Therefore, it would be nice to have something like this, once you get the CSC and start school in China: how do you do your homework? 1 Quote
