Where To Go After Visiting Guangzhou?

I want to stay where it's warm so I'd prefer staying in southern China. I want somewhere with a good metro system and I want to meet other foreigners. Any suggestions?

Go to Kunming (Spring city) and hang around the Chinese language schools in order to bump into foreigners.
Only, *they* might not be happy to meet yet another foreigner...

Of course there's always Shenzhen, which has a pretty grand metro system and more foreigners than you can shake a stick at.

 

There are also sometimes pretty good budget airfares to Bangkok, KL and Singapore from Guangzhou and Shenzhen and elsewhere. Maybe not such good airfares over CNY, but you never know.

I think i'll leave China after Guangzhou. I'll probably visit Cambodia or Thailand.
