Flickserve Posted January 29, 2018 at 07:57 AM Report Share Posted January 29, 2018 at 07:57 AM Is there any difference in the vocabulary between the two? I have been given 饭局 for both and also 应酬 but unsure of the differences between the two terms. I am talking about a one table dinner, mainly business associates, some wine, no karaoke, not get blindly drunk. Some social chat, some business chat. Wippen (inactive) Posted February 2, 2018 at 03:35 PM Report Share Posted February 2, 2018 at 03:35 PM 饭局 refers to just business dinners or lunches whereas 应酬 is wider and also includes more social duties such as golf and entertaining beyond dinner.
