How've you all shipped or transported your PC/desktop computers?

Those who've taken desktops with them, how did you do it? I'm thinking I'd take the graphics card and hard drives in carry on, and either ship seperate or check-in the rest.

I'd take the hard drive and installation disks and buy something new when I arrived, unless I were using some older software that won't work on new operating systems and which is critical to my existance..

I wrapped everything except the case in bubble wrap and put it in my suitcase. :D

And then carried-on? 8) I'm imagining my components wrapped to look like the Michelin Man now lol. No customs issues or breakages may I presume? While all my components are high-end and I'd hate to replace anything in these 50% over-what-I-paid premium crytocurrency-mining-crazed times, the minimalist in me is entertaining all options.

Any other 剝法's for this 貓 ? All 2 cent donations will be going in the Chinese Forums piggy bank for all to borrow from later!

I took a desktop and 30" monitor and mine has glass side panels. I took the hard drive out but more for about concern of lost luggage. I just wrapped it up in towels. No issues at airport, customs security etc. You can buy a monitor TV luggage case for very cheap

After seeing some of the damage done to luggage I've checked-in previously, I want to ask if your tower might have been made of diamonds instead of glass . That is reassuring to know it's possible.

Has anyone shipped one separately?

My original plan was to ship separately but after searching a lot of shipping companies it was much cheaper and far quicker to just bring it with me.
