ivomd Posted February 7, 2018 at 08:11 PM Report Share Posted February 7, 2018 at 08:11 PM You tell me what you think this is... No seriously. This was brought back from China in the 1980s. Can anyone read the marks? It is plastre. Is it from a famous artist?
anonymoose Posted February 7, 2018 at 08:44 PM Report Share Posted February 7, 2018 at 08:44 PM The mark on the left says 周玲之印. I cannot read the whole of the mark on the right, but it says something 艺中心. Anyway, judging by the lack of hits from a Google search, it does not seem like something from a well known origin. Jim Posted February 7, 2018 at 09:26 PM Report Share Posted February 7, 2018 at 09:26 PM This looks like the artist, says she studied in Jingdezhen: http://www.jdzmc.com/Article/Class4/Class21/9702.html ETA: http://www.jdzmc.com/Article/Class22/Class24/2012/04/12/21669.html Though she was only born in 1976 - sure it was '80s? The ceramics there seem a similar style/subject matter.
Publius Posted February 8, 2018 at 01:27 AM Report Share Posted February 8, 2018 at 01:27 AM The mark on the right says 景德镇 (Jingdezhen, place name) 心陶 (Xintao, shop name) 陶艺中心 (ceramic/pottery center).
