Taking time off Tsinghua University Chinese language program?

Hi Everyone,

I will be studying Mandarin at Tsinghua University for a full academic year beginning in September. (Not the IUP program, just the regular one.) I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this question.

I have an extremely important exam to study for which is in the beginning of December. Therefore, I would like to take a full month off in November from school. I was wondering if this is possible, and if so, how should I go about arranging this???

I should also mention that I am going on government scholarship sponsored by the Chinese government, so I am worried things will become slightly more complicated.
