I don't know if someone posted this link before, but here is an open source and free dictionary program StarDict. The program is available for Windows and Linux. It's use is very simple, almost the same as JinShan.

First you have to download program and then dictionaries.

The Oxford dictionary database on that site appears to be pirated, so I would advise any law-abiding Chinese-forums readers to steer clear of this.

Thanks for the link, this is a terrific dictionary! And pirated or not being able to search multiple dictionaries at once is great. One question - is there any way to display pinyin with the character entries?
