jamflanuk Posted August 11, 2005 at 08:07 PM Report Posted August 11, 2005 at 08:07 PM Hi, I'm a fan of Jackie Chan's music do any of you guys like his stuff? Also I've been wondering is his singing actually that 'big' in mainland china? Cheers, James Quote
devi9 Posted August 11, 2005 at 11:59 PM Report Posted August 11, 2005 at 11:59 PM As embarassing as it is to admit it... yes! Jackie Chan's music cracks me up. I've only ever seen one of his music videos (can't remember which song, it's the video where he's running around in a white jogging outfit in the rain... or is it through a sprinkler?) played on a bus in Beijing. When I was there in 2002 Jackie's music wasn't exactly widely played and it wasn't that easy to find. I went back this year, though, and saw one of his CDs prominantly displayed in the music section of a bookstore! Still, the placement couldn't compete with Jay's. Quote
laolee Posted August 12, 2005 at 05:19 PM Report Posted August 12, 2005 at 05:19 PM Is it just me, but it seems that as big a movie star as Jackie is, his CDs are not very available? There's the occasional movie related OST and one or two albums, usually compilations. And then, poof, they disappear and go out of stock or just quit being listed. I'm talking about online retailers, btw. Quote
jamflanuk Posted August 14, 2005 at 12:54 PM Author Report Posted August 14, 2005 at 12:54 PM O yeah, for sure Ive found it almost impossible to get JC cd's, I think there easiest to get when theyve just been released after that there hard to get hold of. Quote
atitarev Posted August 14, 2005 at 01:04 PM Report Posted August 14, 2005 at 01:04 PM I am sure you will like it (if you haven't seen it). You can download some music, get lyrics and more. Songs are both in Cantonese and Mandarin. http://www.jackiechanmusic.com/dload/index.html Quote
ladytsongs Posted August 14, 2005 at 03:55 PM Report Posted August 14, 2005 at 03:55 PM I'm not a big fan of Jackie, but I didn't think his singing was that bad either. I bought his 2002 cd ("Truly With All My heart") and I like it. Quote
