Lexel Posted February 24, 2018 at 08:37 PM Report Posted February 24, 2018 at 08:37 PM Hello. I want to apply for a chinese study visa for less than 180 days. My course will only go for 4 weeks. After my course is finished I want to travel around China for 2 or 3 more weeks. Can I travel in China after my course is finished on the study (X-2 visa) or does it expire straight after my course finishes? Regards, Zach Quote
DavyJonesLocker Posted February 25, 2018 at 05:56 PM Report Posted February 25, 2018 at 05:56 PM Depends on the school and what they write when they apply for the visa. You would really speak to them before you pay. They can't control the visa length but they can be a little creative on course length. People I know usually for 2 weeks or so after the course ended but depends on how long the course is, what kinds of mood the visa guy is in that day etc. Quote
Lexel Posted February 25, 2018 at 07:07 PM Author Report Posted February 25, 2018 at 07:07 PM My course has a 6 week option and a 4 week option. Is it worth it to sign up for the 6 week course for the purpose of the visa and then change to the 4 week course after the visa is processed or is that too much of a risk? Quote
abcdefg Posted February 25, 2018 at 07:19 PM Report Posted February 25, 2018 at 07:19 PM Not sure where you are from, but if you are from the US, you could just go do your course and travel for another month after on a Tourist L visa. It typically allows you to stay 60 days at a stretch and can be used over and over for ten years. Quote
Lexel Posted February 25, 2018 at 09:30 PM Author Report Posted February 25, 2018 at 09:30 PM I’m from New Zealand. I thought that you have to leave China to get a different Visa. Can you do it in China? Quote
