Popular Post Luxi Posted March 23, 2018 at 11:10 AM Popular Post Report Posted March 23, 2018 at 11:10 AM A huge number of NTU courses on a variety of topics are now online. This is their Home page: http://ocw.aca.ntu.edu.tw/ntu-ocw/ The courses are free, open to all - though they probably aren't available in mainland China. They're much more informal than MOOCs, you just watch the videos you want, whenever you want. No registration, coursework, discussions or certificates. Some have Chinese (trad) subtitles, a few have English subs. The sound quality varies as some of the videos are quite a few years old, the newer videos are much improved. They also have their own channel in You Tube. Very helpful because in You Tube one can play the videos at a lower (or higher) speed: https://www.youtube.com/user/ntucourses/featured For an overview, a recent online search brought me to this convenient Bing-page with links to many of the available courses: https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=NTU Courses 課程.臺灣大學 EDU 頻道&qft=+filterui:userpage-ntucourses&FORM=VQCHNL 3 2 Quote
dtails Posted November 20, 2018 at 03:12 AM Report Posted November 20, 2018 at 03:12 AM Wow, what a great find! I hadn't thought of using MOOCs for language learning content. Also, I feel a little dumb for not realizing I could change YouTube playback speed and the difference it makes - constantly pausing videos because I missed the last bit of something gets boring fast. Thanks for the post! Quote
