Yes... another tattoo translation!

长子 'eldest son'

Is that what you meant? The calligraphy is pretty decent. Personally I think traditional characters usually look nicer (長子), but these are fine too. All in all, you could have done a lot worse.

Thank you. Yes, I got this after the birth of my son. I couldn’t really afford to spend much on a tattoo at the time, so this is what I opted for to keep it simple and cheap. I did research on it but I didn’t really consider if it made sense or if it may have additional meaning. Thanks Lu and Shelley for your replies.

I felt the same way. Although I think I would also feel that if someone had a tattoo in English saying Eldest son.
