Shazmataz Posted April 29, 2018 at 11:51 PM Report Posted April 29, 2018 at 11:51 PM Hey I'm applying for Confucius Institute Scholarship and I'm wondering if the references from head of CI should be in English or Chinese? Any ideas anyone?? Quote
pan.kasper Posted April 30, 2018 at 08:25 PM Report Posted April 30, 2018 at 08:25 PM Are you sure? Cause we are allowed to have a personal statement in English, why couldn't the recommendation letter be in that language? Especially since it's the Confucius Insititute that provides it, not us, so we have a little control over how it's gonna look like Quote
歐博思 Posted April 30, 2018 at 08:45 PM Report Posted April 30, 2018 at 08:45 PM No, but I assume CI is Confucius Institute and the head is a Chinese teacher, so it would logically make sense that they used their more natural, native language among themselves. Thinking even more logically: Wouldn't the head how they're supposed to write letters for their own organization? Quote

歐博思 Posted April 30, 2018 at 08:48 PM Report Posted April 30, 2018 at 08:48 PM References 'from' the head or 'for' the head? Quote
DavyJonesLocker Posted May 1, 2018 at 07:30 AM Report Posted May 1, 2018 at 07:30 AM Why not just ask the Confucius institute what they prefer? Quote
