Should letter of recommendation by written in Chinese or English???

Hey I'm applying for Confucius Institute Scholarship and I'm wondering if the references from head of CI should be in English or Chinese?

Are you sure? Cause we are allowed to have a personal statement in English, why couldn't the recommendation letter be in that language? Especially since it's the Confucius Insititute that provides it, not us, so we have a little control over how it's gonna look like

No, but I assume CI is Confucius Institute and the head is a Chinese teacher, so it would logically make sense that they used their more natural, native language among themselves.

Thinking even more logically: Wouldn't the head how they're supposed to write letters for their own organization?

My teacher advised me to have it written in english.

Why not just ask the Confucius institute what they prefer?
