New Members Baconator Posted May 29, 2018 at 04:37 PM New Members Report Posted May 29, 2018 at 04:37 PM Hello there, I'm looking for a website, Youtube channel, program or cable service available worldwide for those who want to improve both reading and hearing skills. Do you have any idea where I can find something like that? I wish to watch a movie or an episode in Chinese and have subtitles so I can both learn new words and improve my hearing at the same time. Thanks and good days. Quote
pon00050 Posted May 29, 2018 at 05:32 PM Report Posted May 29, 2018 at 05:32 PM It sounds like any CCTV channel on YouTube would get the job done. Here is the CCTV Documentary channel on YouTube. If you look to the right, you will also see that there are other CCTV channels listed. Quote

Dawei3 Posted May 30, 2018 at 02:24 AM Report Posted May 30, 2018 at 02:24 AM The app, Viki Rakuten has Chinese movies & TV shows, all with subtitles. If you are willing to watch commercials, it's free. Otherwise, there is a subscription fee. (I've been tolerating the commercials). (It also has Taiwanese, Korean & Japanese TV & movies) Quote
Xiao Kui Posted May 31, 2018 at 01:04 PM Report Posted May 31, 2018 at 01:04 PM The Cbox app is great for watching all the CCTV programs live or on-demand. You can also download them for offline viewing. There is also an app called FluentU that is designed specifically for learning with videos, but it is a freemium/subscription app. Quote
