Hey folks,

I'm looking to head over to beijing this weekend and I need to buy a new palm since my zire71 died on me. Can anyone recommend a good place for that or maybe take a lokk a this website for me and tell me where they are located?

That company have a main office somewhere in Beijing, but also a store in 百脑汇 east of Chaoyang subway station. That's where I picked up a PDA a while back - they're ok, I never had to take it back with any problems though, which is when issues often arise.

There are a few places selling PDAs in Baonaohui, just do your price checking on the internet and then shop around. I find that on fairly expensive items like PDAs you get quoted a reasonable price right away, and there's limited bargaining to be done - I think they assume you'll have checked prices already. Smaller stuff like memory cards and cables are where you are more likely to get the '1000Y . . oh, ok, 20Y' kind of fun. EDIT: That now sounds ridiculously trusting. Suspect everyone.

thank you guys.

I'm not in beijing right now but i'll be there monday just to buy the PDA. I'm not worried about taking the PDA back as I can always send it to Palmone under warranty.

P.S: Where is baonaohui ?

I've found that Chinese prices for electronic items like PDAs and mobile phones are usually 20 percent or more above US prices. Perhaps the retailers have some corrupt agreements. Anyway I have much better luck using eBay china. The prices are usually better than in the US. And shipping is not a problem. Might pay to have a look.

thanks guys,

I ended up getting the tungsten E2. I wanted the zire72 but everyone kept saying that it is discontinued... oh well. I'm a happy camper now.
