wibr Posted July 2, 2018 at 09:54 AM Report Posted July 2, 2018 at 09:54 AM Mozilla, the company that develops the browser Firefox, is running a crowd-sourcing campaign to record sentences in different languages, including Chinese. The license is CC-0 and all the data can be downloaded by everyone. There are two ways to contribute, you can record sentences yourself or validate existing recordings by listening to them. The latter could be used for practicing listening comprehension, just adjust your browser window so that you can only see the lower part of the window without scrolling, press play, try to understand the sentence and then scroll up for the solution. If you're not sure you can always skip an entry. Recording is not that useful for learning, especially for beginners, since there is no feedback and we wouldn't want to pollute the data with wrong samples. 4 Quote
