Kewen Posted July 26, 2018 at 11:25 AM Report Posted July 26, 2018 at 11:25 AM Hello, I am currently in the UK and was preparing to get my degree certificate, CELTA certificate and criminal record check notarised+authenticated using the usual Notary/Home Office/Chinese embassy route, when a friend pointed me to this article saying that the Chinese government started an online verification service for higher education certificates earlier this year, and that it is now free to use: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/o7cW0znNcpVRjp_y_2rYMQ I need to get the notarisation etc. done for the other documents anyway, but since it would save me almost 100 pounds I'm wondering if I should give it a shot for the degree certificate. Has anyone here used the service before, and knows whether this "authentication" is actually accepted when applying for a work visa? My Chinese isn't very good yet so I've not dug too deep into the web interface so far. Somewhere it said it might take up to 21 days to authenticate, so if anything goes wrong I wouldn't have enough time left to get it notarised the normal way before my flight to China.. Either way, might be good to collect everyone's experiences with this "service" in this thread! 2 Quote
