Laminebean Posted August 20, 2005 at 01:10 PM Report Posted August 20, 2005 at 01:10 PM Hey guys, Ive got a query. Im going to Beijing to teach English and I have recently graduated. However, for some reason I wont receive my certificate until after I go to China (maybe sometime in November). Will this provide problems in proving my qualification or can I just get a letter from my uni confirming my grade? Thanx for your help! Quote
fenlan Posted August 20, 2005 at 08:51 PM Report Posted August 20, 2005 at 08:51 PM Can you get a transcript from the university or put your tutor down as a referee? Quote
Xiao Kui Posted August 20, 2005 at 09:32 PM Report Posted August 20, 2005 at 09:32 PM Unless things have changed very recently what the Chinese government needs to issue your work visa, residence card is a transcript, not a certificate. That was my experience anyway. Quote
phbriggs Posted August 21, 2005 at 06:08 AM Report Posted August 21, 2005 at 06:08 AM Most universities will print out a copy of your academic record (shows what subjects you have completed and your marks. If you have finished your exams and have your results, you should be able to get an up-to-date copy. Use this instead of a certificate and in some ways is possibly better as certificates can easy be forged. Quote
