Except that in this case ChinesePod is the side that is doing all the hard work and taking on all the risk, and the other side is just providing ideas and brainstorming.

Isn't this what happens in real life? 

 

You have a department who creates ideas, another department who will discuss feasibility, another who develops the process, another takes opinions and collates opinions.

 

Sometimes parts of the process are outsourced.

That changes my opinion somewhat, and I guess also limits the amount of submissions they'll get.  I'm not sure how they expect to get working prototypes of UX improvements to their app.
