British Museum Mandarin Chinese course

I came across this class at the British Museum: 

Mandarin Chinese: an introduction for absolute beginners.

This eight week course presented in collaboration with City Lit uses British Museum objects from its Chinese art collection to provide a foundation in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese.

 

Seems like a great (different?) way to learn Chinese. Also probably attracts a lot of people interested in Chinese art.

What an interesting idea! I wish there was a way to find out how it goes...or better still, I wish they recorded a video to post online after the course.
