Not quite. This is why context is key.

 

The 自己 here is referring to 楚紅, who is the woman driving the convertible car making fun of 楊牧 before he does this acrobatic stunt to hop over her car and gives her the finger. The crotch of his pants ended up above HER head, which put HER between his legs.
