"Today reside." It could be translated as "Today live", but it's "Today live in our hotel" and not "Today live a wonderful life"

Hello and welcome to the forum.

The characters are 今天住 they mean Today Live, but the character used for live 住  has the meaning of to reside, to dwell, to stay. So not the meaning of to live as to be alive.

It is pretty meaningless in isolation.

The usual character for to live in the sense you want is 生 sheng.

Even if you use the correct character it won't mean what you think, its lost in translation.

Hope this helps.

Thanks that helps a lot. So how would I get close to the meaning I’m looking. Which characters come closest to live today/living today?

There's 活在当下 for "living in the moment" if that's what you're after, or 活在今天 for a more literal "living for today".
