This list was compiled from the 100 million word British National Corpus, one of the largest bodies of British English, both spoken and written. The 2nd column is frequency in written English, the 3rd frequency in spoken English, the 4th pronunciation using the SAMPA system (this is a rival to the International Phonetic Alphabet system, and will not mean much to those unfamiliar with it).
