Dictionary with video clips

Recommended Posts

I once found a Chinese English dictionary website with video clips for most words. I can't find it anymore. I have no idea what it was called.

You could type in a Chinese word and it would give you the definition, but also give you a few video clips from movies or other sources where the word was used on camera.

Does anyone remember or know where to find it?

No, the clips were just a few seconds long. Long enough to say the word in a sentence. They could be from a kungfu movie or anything else.

Too bad things like that die.

In high school in the nineties we were told that the Internet would be free. I took that literally and am still disappointed.

Yeah, but then you try and get people to pay a pittance for stuff and they try and send you to the guillotine. There might be something else like that out there (nowadays, if you had a timecoded subtitle file, it should be relatively straightforward, no?) but that's the only thing I thought of.

I know. I want money for my stuff work too. I guess my little high school brain was imagining some sort of Utopia.
