DarkestLight Posted December 1, 2018 at 11:29 AM Report Posted December 1, 2018 at 11:29 AM I applied for a student visa (X1) at the embassy yesterday and they gave me a pink colored slip with "pick-up form" written on it. The slip had also written on it the day I should pick-up my passport and that's all very clear except for the fact that it also has 2 written where it's asking for the visa category. I searched for chinese visa pick-up forms on google and I saw that other people had the type of visa written in the category (Category: L/M) whereas for me there's written (Category: 2) and I also noticed other people either had stamps of approval on the remarks section or it was stamped that the documents needed further processing or simply "first timer" but mine had (Remarks: X1) written on it. What does it mean? Everything else is okay because my documents were all complete and valid. Quote
edelweis Posted December 2, 2018 at 10:27 AM Report Posted December 2, 2018 at 10:27 AM This could just be a local embassy thing, like category 1 for short term visa and category 2 for long term visa, or assignment to a specific person or office in the embassy that will handle the visa. Embassy staff in different countries might use the category and remarks fields a little differently. I wouldn't worry too much about this. 1 1 Quote
