Luxi Posted December 4, 2018 at 02:01 PM Report Posted December 4, 2018 at 02:01 PM This man's voice makes me think of creamy Belgian milk chocolate. His name is 李野默 (Li Yemo) and he's well known for his many broadcasts for CNR (Chinese National Radio). Many of them have made their way into Ximalaya FM. I think they're very good for listening practice: the man speaks clearly and slowly, the podcasts sound is excellent and there are no distractions: no music, no whistles. Most of them have no transcript either, so they're ideal to start listening comprehension without crutches, also good for transcribing practice. To make things easier, run a search using the title of the episode, it's bound to be in Baidu and dozens of other sites - it is very helpful to get the names of people and places beforehand to avoid getting stuck in the middle of nowhere while listening. Here's an example of Li Yemo's podcasts: 李野默讲成语典故 (Li Yemo talks chengyu and literary allusions): https://www.ximalaya.com/youshengshu/11730025/ This page has many links to Li Yemo broadcasts, with the chengyu arranged by topic. https://www.ximalaya.com/renwen/314844/ 2 2 Quote
