Luxi Posted December 18, 2018 at 01:43 PM Report Posted December 18, 2018 at 01:43 PM @smilingdodo it looks like nobody has. Why don't you tell us about it? I don't know the author at all, is this her? Quote
Bibu Posted December 19, 2018 at 05:25 AM Report Posted December 19, 2018 at 05:25 AM know nothing about Xixi after in HK for 2 years, goes to bookshop ,library regularly. Not much interesting books by Hongkong writers, but 金庸, i would rather treat him as a 浙江 writer. He shares nothing but his business with Hong Kong. Quote
Lu Posted December 19, 2018 at 08:42 AM Report Posted December 19, 2018 at 08:42 AM I really like her short stories and I own this book as well, but I haven't read it yet. I love Xi Xi's subtle sense of humour and her sensitivity. 1 Quote
smilingdodo Posted January 13, 2019 at 05:51 PM Author Report Posted January 13, 2019 at 05:51 PM @Luxi Yes, that's her! As to your first question, the book follow the lives of a group of young people in Hong Kong during the 1970s. Xi Xi's writing is characterised by a childlike attitude, attention to details, and sense of humour. Quote
smilingdodo Posted January 13, 2019 at 05:58 PM Author Report Posted January 13, 2019 at 05:58 PM @Lu Totally agree, I like her sense of humour and sensitivity too! Then I recommend you to read her long novel "My City" :) Quote
