New Members Enzo DeAuditore Posted December 18, 2018 at 09:36 AM New Members Report Posted December 18, 2018 at 09:36 AM Hello to Everyone, This is my first post and would appreciate any help. I have recently started to learn Mandarin, but an English friend has kindly helped me. However, I am unsure of one phrase and unsure of the meaning. If the following is a swear word, then I apologise and please do not ban me from this forum, PLEASE. This is the phrase as he spoke to me ”Pung Zi Bah Bi” Quote
fabiothebest Posted December 20, 2018 at 10:29 PM Report Posted December 20, 2018 at 10:29 PM I honestly don't know Enzo. It doesn't make any sense to me. Probably the way you wrote it isn't close enough to the way it is pronounced. The only way to identify Chinese words univocally is by writing their characters, then pinyin could be ambiguous too. If you provided pinyin without tones, we could still try to guess, but the way you wrote it I can't figure it out. Maybe someone can, but it doesn't seem clear enough. Quote

I've run this past native Chinese speakers and they can't work out what's intended. 1 Quote
Jim Posted December 21, 2018 at 02:35 AM Report Posted December 21, 2018 at 02:35 AM Hard to even guess with absolutely no context, any chance it could have been something about a fat Barbie? Quote
